Central Heating PRODUCT OVERVIEW

CENTRAL HEATING PRODUCTS

We sell and install quality central heating products sourced from reputable European companies. Therefore you can be completely assured on quality and efficiency. We offer under floor heating, hot water radiators, gas or diesel boilers, heat pumps and carbon-neutral wood fires. We work with our sister company Plumbcraft (https://plumbcraft.co.nz) or we will work with and advise the plumbing company of your choice.

HEAT SOURCES

The heat source is the heart of water feed central heating system. We can design your central heating systems using the desired heat source of your choice. Warm NZ have a wide range of options including Heat pumps, Condensing Gas boilers. Condensing Diesel boilers or Wood burners to bring you a tailored heating solution to meet your wishes and requirements

Heat Pumps

These units extract heat either from the air or the ground outside the house and use this to heat water which is piped throughout the house. This renewable source can be used to heat water for central heating and domestic use. It is more suited for underfloor heating than radiators due to the ideal running temperature.

UNDERFLOOR HEATING

Under floor Heating  is now a popular heating system for new homes . It is not practical to retro fit into an existing home but it is ideal for new homes with options of either in concrete slab or under wooden floor, between the joists, using Rehau’s diffusion plate system.

Instead of using radiators to heat a room, hot water pipes are laid either into the concrete floor slab or under wooden floors between the joists. This warms the slab/floor providing a warm floor and radiant heat into the room.

It is much more economic to run than electric under floor systems. In an under floor system the flow and return from the boiler connect to a manifold which all the pipes run from to each room / area. The flow of water through the pipes is generally controlled by room thermostats that are preset to desirable temperatures. The temperature of the water used for under floor heating is 40°C which produces a maximum floor slab temperature of 29°C. The room temperature is generally about 8°C cooler.

The floor of your home is separated into zones which can be controlled via thermostats or manual controls, centrally or room by room. The biggest selling point with under floor heating is that the pipes are hidden and therefore do not impact on the aesthetics of the home. The down side of under floor systems is that they take substantially longer to warm up and cool down than radiators  –  normally 3-4 hours from cold.

Our underfloor systems are all custom designed by qualified heating engineers.

RADIATORS

Radiator central heating is one of the most efficient ways to heat your home. Water transfers heat at a much higher rate than air, so water-filled radiators can heat a room in a matter of minutes. Wall-mounted radiators come in various sizes, shapes and designs.
Modern radiators provide 30% radiant and 70% convected (circulating) heat. A thermostatic control valve fitted to each radiator allows the temperature to be adjusted in each room.
Radiator heating can be retrofitted with connecting pipes run under timber floors, inside walls and over ceilings.

Condensing Gas Boilers

Our Ideal Condensing system or combi units ensure good efficiency ratings and can be located inside or outside your property to provide heating and hot water.

Condensing Diesel Boilers

Our, award-winning European, Grant condensing diesel boilers (see  https://www.grantuk.com/products/oil-fired-boilers/) offer you the best efficiencies and can be located inside or outside your home to heat your central heating system, Hot water or pool.

CONTROLS

We use and recommend the Heat Miser control system from the UK. We can offer basic systems through to smart phone controls to turn on your system from anywhere you may be.
